The San Jose Earthquakes reportedly have acquired midfielder Jamiro Monteiro from the Philadelphia Union.

MLSSoccer.com reported Sunday that the Union will receive up to $450,000 in general allocation money and an international roster spot in exchange for the 28-year-old veteran.

Monteiro tallied two goals and six assists in 27 matches (26 starts) last season. He has nine goals and 21 assists in 75 games (70 starts) since making his MLS debut with the Union in 2019.

According to the report, Monteiro had been seeking a new long-term contract with Philadelphia but was rebuffed.

Philadelphia will receive $250,000 in general allocation money up front and up to $200,000 in additional GAM in performance-based incentives, per the report.
