Italian striker Lorenzo Insigne reportedly is set to sign a five-and-a-half-year contract with Toronto FC.

The deal is expected to be finalized this week, according to Italian soccer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“Lorenzo Insigne from Napoli to Toronto FC, here we go and confirmed!” Romano tweeted Tuesday. “Deal fully agreed, Lorenzo has accepted Toronto bid and he’s joining as free agent in July.”

Insigne, 30, has five goals in 17 matches this season. The Napoli captain made his Serie A debut with the club in 2010.

Internationally, the 5-foot-4 Insigne has scored 10 goals and earned 53 caps for Italy, helping the team to a UEFA Euro 2020 championship last summer.
