United States Men’s National Team defender DeAndre Yedlin has parted ways with his club team in Turkey, according to multiple reports, and he appears headed back to MLS to join Inter Miami CF.

ESPN reported Thursday that Yedlin, 28, has a four-year deal in place with Inter Miami and that the move will be finalized by the league as early as Friday. While other clubs in Europe are rumored to have had interest in the Seattle native, Yedlin reportedly wanted to move back to the United States to raise his infant daughter near family.

Yedlin began his professional career with the Seattle Sounders in 2013 at age 19.

Yedlin’s contract with the Turkish club Galatasaray was terminated by mutual consent. He was in his second season with Galatasaray, which is struggling this season and in 15th place after finishing second in Turkey’s Super Lig last season.

The terminated contract means that Inter Miami would not have to pay a transfer fee if Yedlin joins the club.

The longtime USMNT mainstay also played with Tottenham, Sunderland and Newcastle United in a seven-year run in England, with six of those seasons in the Premier League.

Yedlin is set to join the USMNT for the trio of World Cup qualifying games that begin with a meeting against El Salvador on Thursday at Columbus, Ohio. His arrival reportedly was delayed by poor weather this week that disrupted the schedule of his departing flight from Turkey.

After making his debut with the USMNT in 2014, Yedlin has played 71 games with the senior team and played in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
