New York Red Bulls winger Lewis Morgan signed a three-year contract on Friday with an option for an additional season in 2026.
Financial terms were not disclosed on the deal for Morgan, who led the team with 14 goals in 32 games (31 starts) last season.
“We are extremely happy to be able to sign Lewis to a new contract,” Red Bulls head of sport Jochen Schneider said. “He had a tremendous first season with us, where he was a main contributor for the club, and we are excited to keep him at the club.”
Morgan, 25, totaled 18 goals and four assists in 36 appearances across all competitions last season. He converted six penalty kicks, which is tied for the most in a single season in franchise history with Amado Guevara (2004) and Bradley Wright-Phillips (2014, 2015).
“Lewis was a very important player for our club last season,” Red Bulls head coach Gerhard Struber said. “He is a great player and person, who we are very excited to have with us and help us accomplish our goals for this season.”
Morgan has totaled 21 goals and 16 assists in 89 career matches (88 starts) with Inter Miami CF (2020-21) and the Red Bulls.
