Minnesota United transferred Kervin Arriaga to Serbian team Partizan Belgrade, the team announced Sunday.

Arriaga, a midfielder who also is a defender, has three goals and one assists in 13 matches (nine starts) this season.

“We thank Kervin for the contributions he made for Minnesota United over the past three seasons,” Minnesota sporting director Khaled El-Ahmad said in a news release. “Kervin grew as a player and found success as a member of our team, and we wish him the best of luck as he embarks on a new part of his footballing career.”

Overall, Arriaga has six goals and three assists in 57 appearances (42 starts) with Minnesota.

Arriaga, 26, also has three goals in 25 international matches while playing for Honduras, his home country.

Partizan Belgrade is typically one of the better clubs in Serbia.
