FC Cincinnati acquired forward Kevin Kelsy on loan from Shakhtar Donetsk, the MLS team announced Tuesday.
The 19-year-old Venezuela international’s deal runs through 2024 and includes a purchase option.
Kelsy scored nine goals in 37 matches for Shakhtar, which competes in the Ukrainian Premier League.

“We’re thrilled to have Kevin join the group,” FCC general manager Chris Albright said in a release. “He’s a talented young player with incredible potential and we look forward to working with him. He’s a physically gifted forward with a strong mentality who will fit in well with our team, and we’d like to welcome him to FC Cincinnati.”
Kelsy occupies a U22 Initiative roster spot with the defending MLS Supporters’ Shield winners.
