MLS: Dynamo’s ‘Coco’ Carrasquilla named 2023-24 Concacaf POY

Houston Dynamo FC midfielder Adalberto “Coco” Carrasquilla was named the 2023-24 Concacaf Men’s Player of the Year on Thursday.

Carrasquilla, 25, converted the decisive penalty in the shootout to lift Panama to a victory over the United States in the semifinals of the 2023 Concacaf Golf Cup. He was awarded the Golden Ball and named to the Best XI of the competition.

Carrasquilla recorded three goals and seven assists in 28 appearances (26 starts) this season for the Dynamo.

He has totaled nine goals and 19 assists in 95 career appearances (82 starts) over four seasons with Houston.
