Stanislav Ivanov’s two-season stint with the Chicago Fire is over.

The Fire and Ivanov, a 23-year-old Bulgarian winger, agreed mutually to part ways, the club announced Wednesday.

Ivanov was largely unproductive during his time in Chicago. He appeared in 11 games in 2021, making six starts, and had one assist and no goals. He made 12 starts in 15 appearances in 2022, recording his only goal on March 12 vs. D.C. United and registering no assists.

Ivanov played five-plus years for Bulgarian top-division team Levski Sofia before joining Major League Soccer.

The Fire open their 2023 schedule in Week 2 of the MLS season with a home game against New York City FC.
