One day after trading a pair of pitchers, the Chicago White Sox filled one of their roster vacancies Tuesday by recalling left-hander Sammy Peralta from Triple-A Charlotte.

The move was made after right-handers Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez were traded Wednesday to the Los Angeles Angels for two minor leaguers.

Peralta, 25, made his major league debut with the White Sox on May 4, giving up a pair of runs while recording two outs in his lone appearance. In 25 appearances (six starts) at Charlotte this season, he was 3-5 with a 5.34 ERA.
