The Colorado Rockies placed outfielder Kris Bryant on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a lower back strain.

The move is retroactive to May 23 for Bryant, who came off the injured list prior to Colorado’s doubleheader against the New York Mets on Saturday. He previously went on the injured list on April 29.

Also, the Rockies recalled right-hander Ryan Feltner from Triple-A Albuquerque to start Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was summoned as a replacement for Antonio Senzatela, who is nursing a lower back strain.

Bryant, 30, is hitting .270 (17-for-63) with no home runs, four doubles and four RBIs in 17 games this season.

The Rockies signed the former National League MVP and four-time All-Star to a seven-year, $182 million contract during the offseason.

Feltner, 25, was saddled with the loss in his lone appearance with the Rockies this season. He allowed four runs on seven hits in five innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on April 27.
