The Colorado Rockies optioned right-hander Jake Bird to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday and recalled right-hander Tanner Gordon.

In addition, the Rockies activated outfielder Jordan Beck from the 10-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A.

Bird, 28, is 1-2 with a 6.12 ERA with one save in 24 relief appearances this season. Since returning to the club last week, he gave up a run in two outings.

Gordon, 26, was recalled to start Saturday’s road game against the San Diego Padres. Gordon, who made his major league debut last month, went 0-3 with an 8.80 ERA in three starts.

Beck, 23, made his major league debut April 30 and batted .190 with two home runs and eight RBIs in 23 games before he went down with a broken hand in May. He’s rated as Colorado’s No. 3 prospect by MLB Pipeline.
