MLB: Rockies place RHP Justin Lawrence (shoulder) on IL

The Colorado Rockies placed right-hander Justin Lawrence on the 15-day injured list Monday with a shoulder strain.

The Rockies also called up left-hander Josh Rogers and right-hander Peter Lambert from Triple-A Albuquerque, designated right-hander John Curtiss for assignment and outrighted right-hander Matt Koch to Albuquerque.

Lawrence, 29, is 1-3 with a 5.91 ERA and two saves in 20 relief appearances this season.

Rogers, 29, last appeared in the majors with the Washington Nationals in 2022. He is 1-4 with a 5.44 ERA through nine starts this season in Triple-A.

Lambert, 27, is 2-3 with a 7.24 ERA in 13 games (three starts) this season with the Rockies.

Curtiss, 31, made his season debut for Colorado on Saturday and allowed two runs in the ninth inning of an 8-4 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.

Koch, 33, was designated for assignment on Friday. He appeared in two games for the Rockies this season, allowing three earned runs and retiring only one batter.
