The Colorado Rockies placed veteran outfielder Charlie Blackmon on the 10-day injured Friday due to a right hamstring strain.

The move is retroactive to Wednesday.

Blackmon was injured while running the bases during Tuesday’s 11-9 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Blackmon, 37, is batting .266 with three homers and 26 RBIs in 62 games for the Rockies this season.

He has spent his entire 14-year career with Colorado since reaching the majors in 2011. Blackmon has a .295 career average with 218 homers and 775 RBIs in 1,562 games.

Colorado also activated second baseman Brendan Rodgers (left hamstring strain) from the IL, selected the contract of outfielder Sam Hilliard from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed infielder Adael Amador (right oblique tightness) on the IL.

Rodgers, 27, is batting .275 with three homers and 22 RBIs in 59 games this season.

Hilliard, 30, was batting .288 with 14 homers, 44 RBIs and 13 steals in 65 games at Albuquerque. He has a .215 career average in 254 major league games with the Rockies (2019-22) and Atlanta Braves (2023).
