MLB: Reports: Twins signing 1B Ty France to 1-year deal

The Minnesota Twins are in agreement with free agent first baseman Ty France on a one-year deal, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.

The contract is pending the results of a physical for the 30-year-old former All-Star. Financial terms were not disclosed.

France batted .234 with 13 homers and 51 RBIs in 140 games with the Seattle Mariners and Cincinnati Reds in 2024.

He is a career .263 hitter with 74 homers and 312 RBIs in 702 games with the San Diego Padres (2019-20), Mariners (2020-24) and Reds. He was an All-Star in 2022 and led the majors in hit-by-pitches in 2021 (27) and 2023 (34).
