The Minnesota Twins are signing free agent first baseman Carlos Santana to a one-year deal worth $5.25 million plus incentives, multiple outlets reported.
Santana was a National League Gold Glove finalist last season and posted 23 home runs, 33 doubles and 86 RBIs in 146 games with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Milwaukee Brewers.
Santana, 37, is a career .242/.356/.432 hitter with 301 home runs and 1,011 RBIs in 1,930 games over 14 seasons with the Cleveland franchise (2010-17, 2019-20), Philadelphia Phillies (2018), Kansas City Royals (2021-22), Seattle Mariners (2022), Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.
He made the American League All-Star team and won a Silver Slugger award in 2019.
