The San Diego Padres are in agreement with utilityman Jurickson Profar on a one-year deal worth $1 million to return for the 2024 season, multiple outlets reported Monday.

Profar, 30, played in 14 games with the Padres at the end of last season. He was also with the Padres from 2020-22.

Profar hit .242 with nine home runs and 46 RBIs in 125 games with the Padres and Colorado Rockies in 2023. The Rockies released him on Aug. 27 and he signed with the Padres four days later.

He is a career .238 hitter with 87 homers with four clubs, including the Texas Rangers (2012-13; 2016-18).

Profar has played every position in the field, save for catcher. He has 219 career appearances at second base and 351 appearances in left field.
