The Los Angeles Dodgers made their second pitching move in two days, adding right-hander Dinelson Lamet to the active roster Monday, multiple outlets reported.

Lamet, 31, was signed to a minor league deal by the Dodgers in the offseason and was a non-roster invitee to spring training. In 3 2/3 innings this spring over four appearances, Lamet allowed just one earned run and had five strikeouts.

A corresponding move had not been announced, with the Dodgers also required to clear a spot on their 40-man roster.

On Sunday, the Dodgers recalled right-hander Nabil Crismatt from Triple-A Oklahoma City and he delivered two scoreless innings to earn the win in the Dodgers’ 5-4 comeback victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

It has been a heavy workload for the Dodgers’ bullpen in the early going. Left-hander Ryan Yarbrough earned a three-inning save Friday, relievers absorbed five innings Saturday and Crismatt had his extended outing Sunday.

On Monday, in a series opener against the San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers will see left-hander James Paxton make his debut for the club. Paxton is not expected to go deep into outings this season after Tommy John surgery in 2021.

Lamet made just 17 combined appearances with the Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox last season and had an 11.71 ERA. He finished fourth in National League Cy Young Award voting in 2020 as a member of the San Diego Padres and is 17-24 in 118 career appearances (60 starts) with a 4.66 ERA.
