The Cleveland Guardians are in agreement with catcher Mike Zunino on a one-year, $6 million deal, multiple outlets reported Tuesday.
The 31-year-old free agent was an All-Star in 2021 but was limited to 36 games last season due to an arm injury.
Zunino is a career .200 hitter with 146 home runs and 361 RBIs in 850 games over 10 seasons with the Seattle Mariners (2013-18) and Rays. He slugged a career-high 33 homers in just 109 games in 2021.
Zunino was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome in his left arm in June, an injury that required season-ending surgery.
