MLB: Report: Free-agent C Gary Sanchez signing with Brewers

Free-agent catcher Gary Sanchez is signing a one-year, $7 million deal with the Milwaukee Brewers, MLB Network reported Wednesday night.

The contract also features an option, per the report.

Sanchez, 31, spent last season with the New York Mets and San Diego Padres. He hit .217 with 19 home runs and 47 RBIs in 75 games between the teams.

In nine major league seasons, Sanchez has compiled a .225 batting average and a .469 slugging percentage with 173 homers and 448 RBIs in 741 games. He spent time with the New York Yankees (2015-21) and Minnesota Twins (2022) before playing for the Mets and Padres.
