Jonathan India hit a grand slam to cap a six-run ninth inning, Spencer Steer also went deep in the ninth, and the Cincinnati Reds rallied to beat the Colorado Rockies 12-7 in Denver on Wednesday.

Cincinnati swept the three-game series to extend its winning streak to four games.

TJ Friedl was hit by a pitch leading off the ninth but Jalen Beeks (2-3) retired the next two batters. Steer then hit an 0-1 pitch into the seats in left, his seventh homer of the season, to put Cincinnati ahead.

Jake Fraley and Tyler Stephenson singled, Blake Dunn walked to load the bases and India crushed his fourth career grand slam and second of the season off of Angel Chivilli. The homer was India’s fourth of the season.

Jeimer Candelario homered — his eighth of the season — among his two hits, Friedl also went deep with his second of the season and Elly De La Cruz had three hits for the Reds.

Fernando Cruz (3-5) worked out of a jam in the eighth for the win.

Charlie Blackmon had three hits for Colorado, as did Elias Diaz, who homered and drove in three runs. Ezequiel Tovar had two hits as the Rockies lost their fifth-straight game.

Colorado squandered a 4-0 lead but Diaz put them back in front with a solo homer in the fifth inning, his fifth of the season. Diaz stretched the lead in the seventh with an RBI single and Brendan Rodgers added a sacrifice fly to drive in Tovar. Rodgers finished with three RBIs.

The Rockies scored four times in the first against Graham Ashcraft but Candelario cut the lead in half with a two-run homer in the third, his eighth of the year.

Ashcraft exited with two outs in the fourth after hitting Sean Bouchard, who left the game in the eighth with an ankle injury. Ashcraft allowed four runs on six hits and struck out two in 3 2/3 innings.

Friedl’s two-run homer in the fifth off starter Dakota Hudson, his second of the season, tied it. Hudson allowed four runs on five hits and walked four in 4 1/3 innings.
