Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Anthony Felix received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for a banned substance, Major League Baseball announced Friday.

The 20-year-old right-hander from the Dominican Republic tested positive for the performance-enhancing drug Stanozolol.

Felix signed with the Red Sox in June and went 2-0 with two saves and a 3.55 ERA in 14 relief appearances in the Dominican Summer League.
