MLB: Rain forces postponement of Mets-Cardinals

The series finale between the New York Mets and host St. Louis Cardinals was postponed by rain on Wednesday.

The game has been rescheduled for Aug. 5.

The Mets were gunning for a sweep of the three-game series.

Both teams have an off day on Thursday. The Mets return home to host the Atlanta Braves and the Cardinals travel to Milwaukee for a Central Division series on Friday.
