Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Cristian Pache was diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his right knee and placed on the 10-day injured list, the team announced Saturday.

In a corresponding move, the Phillies recalled fellow outfielder Dalton Guthrie from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Pache sustained the injury during the fifth inning of Philadelphia’s 3-1 win over the Houston Astros on Friday. He appeared to slip while venturing back to second base and was replaced by Brandon Marsh.

Pache, 24, is batting .360 with one homer and four RBIs in 18 games this season. He was acquired from the Oakland Athletics on March 29 in exchange for right-hander Billy Sullivan.

Known for his defense, Pache is a career .171 hitter with five homers and 26 RBIs in 133 games with the Atlanta Braves, Athletics and Phillies.

Guthrie, 27, is batting .278 with 10 extra-base hits (six doubles, two triples, two homers) in 21 games with the IronPigs.
