Baltimore’s Ryan O’Hearn, Anthony Santander and Jordan Westburg homered in the eighth inning as the Orioles rallied for a 5-3 victory against the host Chicago White Sox on Saturday afternoon.

The three-homer barrage across a five-batter stretch created a stunning turnaround after the Orioles had only three singles entering the eighth.

Chicago starter Erick Fedde pitched 6 1/3 shutout innings and Gavin Sheets smacked a two-out, bases-loaded triple in the fifth inning for the team’s only runs. The White Sox lost for the eighth time in nine games and will try to avoid getting swept in the four-game series Sunday.

Starting pitcher Albert Suarez pitched four shutout innings in his longest Baltimore stint since April.

Orioles reliever Keegan Akin gave up the runs in the fifth in his only inning of work, while Dillon Tate (2-0) was the winner by going 2 1/3 shutout innings.

Cionel Perez pitched the ninth for his first save, securing the Orioles their third win in a row following three consecutive losses.

O’Hearn’s blast, his seventh, with one out in the eighth inning off Jordan Leasure allowed Baltimore to avoid its third shutout loss this season.

Santander’s two-run shot and Westburg’s solo homer came off Michael Kopech (1-4). Santander has nine homers and Westburg belted his eighth.

Westburg finished with three hits as the only Orioles player with more than one.

Baltimore had two singles through five innings and the White Sox didn’t post their third hit until the bottom of the inning.

Chicago loaded the bases in the fifth, courtesy of a pair of walks sandwiched around Nicky Lopez’s single. Sheets followed with his first triple of the season.

Fedde worked his fourth consecutive start of at least six innings. He gave up three hits and issued three walks while striking out six.

Lopez had two of Chicago’s five hits.
