The Baltimore Orioles promoted Eve Rosenbaum to assistant general manager of baseball operations on Friday.

Rosenbaum previously served as the club’s director of player development since 2019.

She will advise general manager Mike Elias and assistant GM of analytics Sig Mejdal.

The new posting is one of the highest for a woman in the history of Major League Baseball. Kim Ng of the Miami Marlins is the only female general manager.

Prior to joining the Orioles, Rosenbaum spent five seasons in the Houston Astros organization, most recently serving as the club’s manager of international scouting. She also worked for the NFL from 2012-15.
