The Baltimore Orioles placed left-hander John Means on the 15-day injured list Thursday with a left forearm strain.

Means, 31, exited Wednesday’s start against the St. Louis Cardinals due to discomfort after three scoreless innings.

He is 2-0 with a 2.61 ERA through four starts this season, striking out 16 batters and walking two in 20 2/3 innings.

Means only has made 10 starts since undergoing Tommy John surgery during the 2022 season.

The Orioles recalled right-hander Jonathan Heasley from Triple-A Norfolk to replace Means on the 26-man roster.

Heasley, 27, is 0-1 with a 12.46 ERA in three relief appearances (4 1/3 innings) for Baltimore this season.
