The Baltimore Orioles are acquiring left-hander Trevor Rogers from the Miami Marlins on Tuesday.

In exchange, the Marlins receive highly regarded infielder/outfielder Connor Norby and outfielder Kyle Stowers.

Rogers, 26, is 2-9 with a 4.53 ERA through 21 starts this season with the Marlins.

An All-Star in 2021, Rogers is 15-32 with a 4.23 ERA in 80 starts since making his debut with Miami in 2020.

The American League East-leading Orioles parted ways with Norby, their No. 5 prospect according to MLB Pipeline.

Norby, 24, made his MLB debut on June 3 and batted .188 with two homers and three RBIs in nine games for Baltimore. He is slashing .297/.389/.519 in 80 games at Triple-A Norfolk, tallying 16 homers, 57 RBIs and 13 steals.

Stowers, 26, is batting .306 with one homer and nine RBIs in 19 games this season with Baltimore. Over parts of three seasons, he is a .229 hitter with four home runs and 20 RBIs in 67 games.

Norby was a second-round draft pick in 2021 and Stowers was selected in the same round by the Orioles in 2019.

To fill the active roster to 40 players, the Orioles selected the contract of infielder/outfielder Terrin Vavra, 27, from Norfolk. He played in 67 games for Baltimore in 2022-23 and batted .254.

Rogers is the second starting pitcher the Orioles have added this week, after sending three players to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for right-hander Zach Eflin. They join a rotation that already includes Corbin Burnes, Grayson Rodriguez and either Dean Kremer or Albert Suarez.
