MLB: Nationals-White Sox opener postponed; doubleheader Tuesday

The opener of a three-game series between the Washington Nationals and host Chicago White Sox was rained out Monday evening.

The White Sox said the game will be made up Tuesday as part of a straight doubleheader beginning at 3:40 p.m. local time. Game 2 will begin 30-45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.

The White Sox will send right-hander Chris Flexen (2-3, 4.29 ERA) to the mound for Game 1 opposite Nationals right-hander Trevor Williams (4-0, 1.96). In Game 2, Chicago will start former Nationals right-hander Erick Fedde (3-0, 3.00) against Washington lefty Mitchell Parker (2-1, 2.67).
