Miami Marlins third baseman Jake Burger landed on the 10-day injured list Monday with a left oblique injury.

Burger, 28, told reporters he felt discomfort following Sunday’s 9-7 loss to the Atlanta Braves.

Burger is batting .228 with three homers and a team-high 15 RBIs through 16 games this season.

The Marlins recalled versatile infielder Otto Lopez from Triple-A Sacramento in a corresponding transaction.

Lopez, 25, was selected off waivers from the San Francisco Giants on April 4. He can play shortstop, second and third base.
