Orlando Arcia and Austin Riley each hit a two-run homer to help the Atlanta Braves post a 6-4 victory over the host Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night.
Marcell Ozuna also had two RBIs as Atlanta won its second straight game after matching a season-worst losing streak at four games. The Braves lead the majors with a 31-14 road record.
Willy Adames homered for the Brewers, who lost for just the third time in 11 games.
Michael Soroka (2-1) gave up four runs and six hits over six innings for the Braves. He struck out four and walked two.
Ben Heller pitched a hitless seventh and Joe Jimenez tossed a perfect eighth. Kirby Yates struck out the first two hitters in the ninth but ran into trouble when he walked Andruw Monasterio and Brice Turang.
Yates and Milwaukee’s Blake Perkins then conducted an 11-pitch battle that included seven straight foul balls. Yates finally caught Perkins looking on a backdoor slider to end it for his second save of the season.
Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta (6-8) worked five innings and gave up six runs and six hits, including the homers to Arcia and Riley. He struck out five and walked three while losing for the fifth time in his past six decisions.
Atlanta spotted Milwaukee two runs before scoring three in the second, two in the third and one in the fifth.
Ozuna’s sacrifice fly accounted for the first run in the second. Two batters later, Arcia drilled a 402-foot homer to left-center against his former team. It was his 10th blast of the season.
In the third, Ozzie Albies drew a leadoff walk before Riley hit a two-run shot to right. It was Riley’s 21st homer of the season.
Atlanta loaded the bases in the fifth with one out before Ozuna hit into a fielder’s choice to drive in Riley and make it 6-2.
The Brewers trimmed their deficit to two in the sixth when William Contreras led off with a single and Adames followed with a homer to center. It was Adames’ 17th homer of the season.
Contreras’ RBI double and Jesse Winker’s run-scoring single accounted for Milwaukee’s first-inning runs.
