The Cleveland Guardians acquired right-hander Wes Parsons from the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday.

In exchange, the Blue Jays received $250,000 in international bonus pool money.

The Guardians optioned Parsons, 31, to Triple-A Columbus and cleared room on the 40-man roster by moving right-hander Shane Bieber (elbow) to the 60-day injured list.

Parsons made two relief appearances this season for Toronto before being designated for assignment on April 5. He allowed six runs in five innings for a 10.80 ERA.

He is 1-4 with a 7.40 ERA in 36 career appearances (one start) with the Atlanta Braves (2018-19), Colorado Rockies (2019) and Blue Jays (2023-24).
