Donovan Walton doubled to deep right-center field to score Joey Bart in the top of the 11th inning and the San Francisco Giants defeated the host Philadelphia Phillies 7-4 on Tuesday.
Joc Pederson, who had two hits, added a mammoth two-run home run in the 11th.
Luis Gonzalez had two doubles, two singles and two RBIs for the Giants, who won their third in a row. Thairo Estrada also chipped in with two hits.
Giants starter Jakob Junis tossed 4 1/3 innings and gave up three hits and one run. He struck out three and walked two.
Jose Alvarez (2-1) earned the win in relief by pitching 1 1/3 scoreless innings.
J.T. Realmuto had two RBIs and Rhys Hoskins added two hits for the struggling Phillies, who have dropped five in a row.
Roman Quinn struck out swinging with the bases loaded to end the game.
Phillies starter Ranger Suarez lasted just 4 1/3 innings and allowed five hits and two runs to go along with five strikeouts and three walks. Suarez threw 100 pitches, 58 for strikes.
Andrew Bellatti (1-2) took the loss after allowing the three runs in the 11th.
Gonzalez opened the fourth for the Giants with a double down the left-field line. But Suarez retired the next two batters before walking Bart. Walton grounded out to first to end the threat.
The Phillies loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the fourth and Realmuto grounded into a fielder’s choice, scoring Jean Segura for a 1-0 lead. Hoskins initially was called out for an illegal slide at second, but the call was overturned after a video review.
The Giants went ahead 3-1 in the fifth when Gonzalez laced a two-run double and Mike Yastrzemski added a sacrifice fly.
Realmuto contributed an RBI single and Odubel Herrera grounded into a double play to score a run as the Phillies tied the game at 3 in the sixth.
The Giants scored in the 10th as Pederson reached on an infield single and Wilmer Flores crossed the plate on an error.
Philadelphia’s Alec Bohm singled to center in the bottom of the 10th to equalize at 4.
The teams combined to use 14 pitchers in the game.
