Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw will undergo foot and knee surgeries on Wednesday, he told The Athletic.

The surgery to his left foot will be performed by Dr. Kenneth Jung, while noted surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache will repair the meniscus in his left knee.

While the foot injury was known, Kershaw revealed the knee condition on Friday, per The Athletic.

“It’s gonna be a two-for-one special,” Kershaw, 36, said.

Injuries have interrupted the career of the future Hall of Fame member, who was limited to seven games in 2024 coming off surgery to his left shoulder in the offseason.

He made his season debut on July 25 and pitched 30 innings before reporting damage to his toe, which turned out to be a ruptured plantar plate and arthritis in his left foot.

“There’s a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed,” Kershaw said.

Kershaw didn’t pitch in the postseason but said last month that he would return for an 18th season in 2025.

The three-time NL Cy Young Award winner and 2014 NL MVP has been a mainstay in the Dodgers’ rotation, spending his entire MLB career in Los Angeles.

Kershaw pitched on one-year contracts in 2022 and 2023 before signing an incentive-laden $5 million deal for 2024 that included a $5 million option for 2025.

He went 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA in 2024 and is 212-94 lifetime with a 2.50 ERA in 432 appearances (429 starts) after he was a first-round draft pick by Los Angeles in 2006.
