The Los Angeles Dodgers are bringing right-handed pitcher Tyson Miller back into the fold.

After acquiring Miller from the Milwaukee Brewers and waiving him earlier this summer, the Dodgers claimed Miller off waivers from the New York Mets on Sunday.

The Dodgers also transferred right-hander Tony Gonsolin to the 60-day injured list.

Miller, 28, made one relief appearance for the Dodgers earlier this year, allowing two runs and three hits over two innings July 26 in a loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The New York Mets claimed Miller off waivers after Los Angeles designated him for assignment in early August.

Miller played in one game for the Mets — he earned the victory in a 7-2 win over Pittsburgh Aug. 14 after pitching two scoreless, hitless innings of relief. But the Mets went on to waive him.

A former fourth-round draft pick by the Chicago Cubs (2016), Miller has spent parts of three seasons in the major leagues for Chicago (2020), the Texas Rangers (2022) and his trio of teams in 2023. He is 2-2 with a 7.45 ERA in 15 career games (three starts).

Gonsolin, 29, is done for the season after landing on the injured list Aug. 19 with right forearm inflammation. After going 16-1 with a 2.14 ERA last year and earning his first All-Star nod, Gonsolin finished 2023 8-5 with a 4.98 ERA over 20 starts.
