MLB: Dodgers add LHP Nick Ramirez, option LHP Justin Wrobleski

The Dodgers selected the contract of left-hander Nick Ramirez on Sunday from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned rookie left-hander Justin Wrobleski to the affiliate, while rookie right-hander Michael Petersen was designated for assignment.

Ramirez, 35, had a 6.35 ERA in seven games for the Dodgers earlier this season. In 103 relief appearances over the past five seasons for four different clubs, he is 7-7 with a 4.20 ERA.

Wrobleski, 24, returned to the Dodgers on Friday and pitched two scoreless innings in relief Saturday against the Cleveland Guardians. He is 1-2 with a 6.40 ERA, 14 walks and 22 strikeouts in 32 1/3 innings over seven appearances (six starts) after making his major league debut July 7.

Petersen, 30, last appeared for the Dodgers on Wednesday when he gave up three runs in one inning against the Los Angeles Angels. He made his major league debut June 18 and was 3-0 with a 6.43 ERA, eight walks and 11 strikeouts in 14 innings over 11 relief appearances.
