George Springer, Bo Bichette, and Davis Schneider homered to back five shutout innings from Chris Bassitt to lift the visiting Toronto Blue Jays to a 5-1 victory against the Chicago White Sox on Monday.

Nate Pearson, Erik Swanson, Zach Pop, and Genesis Cabrera followed Bassitt with four innings of one-run relief as the Blue Jays stopped a three-game losing streak.

Chicago lost its sixth in a row and has dropped 10 of 11. Opponents have held the White Sox to two runs or fewer six times over that span.

White Sox rookie right-hander Nick Nastrini (0-4) lost to the Blue Jays for the second time in five days. Nastrini limited Toronto to three hits over five innings, but two left the ballpark. Nastrini scattered three runs and walked four, striking out five.

Toronto clinched at least a share of the season series with Chicago. The Blue Jays took two of three from the visiting White Sox last week.

Springer provided all the run support the Blue Jays would need when he smacked a two-run blast to left-center with two outs in the second inning. Springer, who hit at least 21 home runs in each of his first three seasons with Toronto, hit his fourth long ball of the season and first since April 24.

Bichette opened the fourth inning with a blast to center, his fourth of the season and second against Nastrini in the past week.

Bassitt (5-6) gave up five hits while striking out seven to defeat the White Sox for the second straight start.

Chicago avoided the shutout when Gavin Sheets homered against Swanson to lead off the eighth. It was Sheets’ fourth of the season.

Andrew Benintendi singled three times for the White Sox while Sheets and Corey Julks had two hits each. Chicago, which outhit the Blue Jays 10-6, stranded 11 runners and finished 1-for-7 with men in scoring position.

The White Sox loaded the bases with two outs in the first inning but didn’t score.

Schneider belted a two-run homer — his sixth of the season — against John Brebbia in the ninth to account for the final margin.
