The Toronto Blue Jays activated right-hander Yariel Rodriguez to start Friday’s series opener at Cleveland.

Rodriguez, 27, had been on the 15-day injured list since April 30 with thoracic spine inflammation.

Rodriguez (0-1, 4.11 ERA) made his MLB debut on April 13 and has never faced the Guardians.

The Blue Jays optioned right-hander Ryan Burr to Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding transaction.
