A day after parting ways with coach Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg, TSM announced Friday that two players will be back for the 2022 League of Legends Championship Series season while one player is departing.

Mingyi “Spica” Lu, a 20-year-old jungler from China, and Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, a 23-year-old top laner from South Korea, are staying with the U.S.-based team.

However, the team cut ties with Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh, a 24-year-old support player from Taiwan.

TSM owner Andy “Reginald” Dinh wrote in a Reddit Q&A on Friday, “Spica/Huni will be playing for us next year. We will not be looking to sell or trade his contract.”

The team also tweeted, “Today we bid farewell to @TSM_SwordArt. Thank you for everything you contributed to #TSM during your time with the org. We wish you all the best with your next challenge.”

SwordArt spent just one season with TSM after signing a reported two-year, $6 million deal, an LCS-record salary.

On Thursday, Bjergsen announced his exit from the club after eight years, amid multiple media reports that he is interested in returning to action as a player next year.

TSM came in second in the 2021 LCS Spring Split, placed third in the Mid-Season Showdown and won the Summer Split before stumbling in the LCS Championship. TSM took fourth place in the season-ending tournament, with only the top three teams advancing to the League of Legends World Championship.
