Invictus Gaming and Seung-lok “TheShy” Kang have parted company after a four-year run highlighted by the 2018 League of Legends World Championship.

The 22-year-old South Korean top laner’s contract expired in mid-November and he is a free agent.

The team bid farewell to TheShy with a Twitter post on Tuesday.

“Today we have to say goodbye to TheShy,” Invictus Gaming wrote. “We will always remember and appreciate the time we shared together. Wishing TheShy best of luck in the next chapters!”

TheShy joined IG in May 2017.

The Chinese team will have a new look in 2022, having also parted ways this month with mid laner Eui-jin “Rookie” Song, support Su “Southwind” Zhi-Lin, and bot laners Ding “Puff” Wang and Wu “Snow” Hao-Shun.
