Team Liquid blanked Immortals 2-0 on Sunday to remain undefeated in group-stage action at the League Championship Series Summer Split.
Liquid won twice on blue — in 24 minutes and in 29 minutes — to improve to 5-0. They sit in second place in the standings, though, as Cloud9 hold a better individual game win-loss record despite also being unbeaten through their first five matches.
Eight teams are fighting for six spots in the Summer Split’s double-elimination playoff bracket. The top two seeds will head to the upper-bracket semifinals, with the other four seeds duking it out in the upper-bracket quarterfinals.
All group-play matches are best-of-three, while the playoff matches are best-of-five. The winner of the tournament will take home $100,000 of the $200,000 prize pool, with the top three teams qualifying for the World Championship.
Also on Sunday, FlyQuest rallied for a 2-1 victory over 100 Thieves.
FlyQuest saw 100 Thieves go up 1-0 with a 33-minute win on red before responding with a 31-minute victory on blue. They then prevailed in 23 minutes on red to complete the comeback.
