MAD Lions renewed the contracts for their entire League of Legends coaching staff on Thursday.
The deals for head coach James “Mac” MacCormack, head of player development Patrick “Pad” Suckow-Breum and analyst Carlos “Aagie” Carpio Cuenca were renewed through November 2023. Strategic coach Christophe “Kaas” van Oudheusden’s contract was renewed through November 2022.

The Madrid-based MAD Lions enjoyed a highly successful run in 2021, finishing first in the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) Spring and Summer splits and posting the highest finish (fifth-to-eighth place) among European teams at this fall’s World Championship.
Mac is a candidate for Esports Coach of the Year honors at the Nov. 20 Esports Awards in Arlington, Texas.
