G2 Esports is moving on from veteran League of Legends coach Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann and analyst Christopher “Duffman” Duff, the organization announced Friday.
GrabbZ had been with G2 since before the 2018 season, with Duffman joining in May of that year. Since then, G2 won four League European Championship titles in 2019 and ’20, also competing in the LOL World Championship annually from 2018-20.
The team also won the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational.
Despite finishing second this year in the Summer Split, a fourth-place finish in the Summer Playoffs kept G2 out of the Worlds.
“Today we’re parting ways with the legendary duo @G2GrabbZ and @DuffmanLoL,” G2 said in a statement posted to Twitter on Friday. “You leave an incredible legacy, amazing drafts, unforgettable victories, memes and trophies. Best of luck in your next adventure.”
