Polish jungler Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski has signed a two-year extension with G2 Esports.

Jankos, 26, is the longest tenured player on G2’s roster, having been with the organization since 2018.

“The first blood king is here to stay,” G2 announced Wednesday on Twitter.

Despite a solid 2021 from Jankos, G2 had a rocky season and failed to capture a LEC championship.

G2 Esports moved on from veteran League of Legends coach Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann and analyst Christopher “Duffman” Duff last fall.

Jankos and Rasmus “Caps” Winther were the only players retained by G2 for 2022. Caps signed a four-year contract last month. Newcomers Victor “Flakked” Lirola and Raphael “Targamas” Crabbe will comprise G2’s new bot lane.

G2 will put their retooled roster to the test beginning with the 2022 LEC Spring Split, which begins Jan. 14.
