CLG announced Tuesday the hiring of former League of Legends player Thomas “Thinkcard” Slotkin as its new head coach.

Thinkcard rejoins CLG after a stint as head coach of the Golden Guardians academy team. Prior to that, he led Clutch Gaming to qualification for the 2019 World Championships.

He played for CLG from 2014-16.

“It’s incredible to be back with CLG,” Thinkcard said. “This is an organization that I know well and I cannot wait to get started with putting down a foundation for what we want CLG to be for years to come. I know working with Jonathon, Chris and the rest of the staff at CLG that we have the tools to create something amazing.”

CLG, owned by MSG Sports, further announced the hiring of Chris “Croissant” Sun as strategic coach. Croissant coached with Thinkcard with Golden Guardians and previously served as strategic coach for Team Liquid.
