DOTA: PARIVISION, Spirit, Falcons, Aurora prevail at PGL Wallachia

PARIVISION, Team Spirit, Team Falcons and Aurora Gaming improved to 2-0 Sunday on the second day of the PGL Wallachia Season 4 group stage in Bucharest, Romania.

Those four teams are now one win away from clinching a berth in the playoff stage. They will be paired up for win-and-advance matches on Monday.

The $1 million Dota tournament features 16 teams in a modified Swiss group stage format and double-elimination playoffs through April 27.

All matches in the group stage from Saturday to Wednesday are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the bottom eight are eliminated. The playoffs are Thursday through April 27, with all matches best-of-three except for the grand final, which is best-of-five.

On Sunday, PARIVISION defeated Edge 2-0, prevailing in 42 minutes on green and 39 minutes on red. Team Spirit swept Team Tidebound 2-0 with victories in 43 minutes and 37 minutes, both on green.

Team Falcons beat Team Liquid by the same score, winning in 46 and 47 minutes on green. The only 1-0 match that went three maps was Aurora’s 2-1 win over Tundra Esports, where Tundra started with a 37-minute win on red before Aurora triumphed in 31 minutes and 44 minutes on red.

In the four 0-1 matches Monday, BetBoom Team defeated NAVI Junior 2-0, Nigma Galaxy outlasted AVULUS 2-1, Xtreme Gaming beat Talon Esports 2-0 and Shopify Rebellion handed HEROIC a 2-0 defeat. The four losing teams in that collection, now 0-2 in the group stage, face do-or-die matches on Monday.
