DOTA: Group A tiebreakers needed at BetBoom Dacha Dubai

Tiebreakers are needed in Group A to complete the playoff bracket at the BetBoom Dacha Dubai tournament in the United Arab Emirates.

Gaimin Gladiators, LGD Gaming, Team Falcons and Team Liquid finished the round-robin group stage at the 12-team Dota 2 tournament Thursday with identical 6-4 map records. Aurora and Virtus.pro were eliminated.

GG will face Liquid and LGD will take on Falcons in best-of-one matches to begin Friday’s tiebreaker stage.

Xtreme Gaming grabbed the No. 1 seed in Group B, followed by Team Spirit, Azure Ray and BetBoom Team. OG and nouns were eliminated from the $1 million tournament.

All three best-of-two matches in Group A on Thursday ended in draws: GG vs. Virtus.pro, Falcons vs. Aurora and Liquid vs. LGD.

Azure Ray recorded the day’s only sweep against BetBoom Team in Group B. Xtreme Gaming vs. nouns and OG vs. Spirit both ended in draws.

The double-elimination playoff stage runs from Feb. 11-16. All matches are best of three except for the best-of-five grand final.
