MOUZ parted ways with Australian in-game leader Christopher “dexter” Nong from their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on Friday.

The 28-year-old dexter had been with the German team’s international roster since February 2021.

Friday’s move comes two days after MOUZ benched Jon “JDC” de Castro and amid reports that the club is expected to bring in former MOUZ NXT in-game leader Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek.

“I am really thankful for the time we got to share with Chris in MOUZ,” Jan Dominicus, MOUZ chief business development officer, said on the organization’s website. “Chris arrived in Hamburg under very difficult circumstances in the middle of COVID and started a new chapter in Germany.

“It cannot be overstated how much respect I have for the commitment he showed during his 2 1/2 years with the team. Chris’ story with us is extraordinary and I am extremely happy that we got to do this adventure together. I am convinced Chris will be successful wherever he goes. We will follow his career and always cheer for him.”

dexter offered the following statement after the move:

“Today I leave MOUZ. They were my first big organization but it really felt like it was my German family. The way everyone took such good care of me, from keeping me from going insane during COVID lockdowns, to the vibes and love you guys share with me, I will always cherish those moments for the rest of my life.

“New adventure soon.”
