MOUZ came from behind to advance to the semifinals while Complexity Gaming rolled through their quarterfinal on Thursday in the ESL Pro League Season 19 at Saint Julian’s, Malta.

MOUZ rallied past G2 Esports 2-1 after Complexity swept Virtus.pro 2-0. The winners will face off in the semifinals on Saturday.

The other two quarterfinals are set for Friday, with Astralis opposing Team Liquid before Team Vitality meets FaZe Clan.

The $750,000 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive event began with 32 teams broken up into four groups of eight. Group-stage winners advanced to the quarterfinals; runners-up advanced to the Round of 12 as the high seeds; third-place teams advanced to the Round of 16 as the high seeds; and fourth-place teams advanced to the Round of 16 as the low seeds.

All matches are best-of-three until the grand final on Sunday, which is best-of-five. The winner earns $170,000 and qualifies for the IEM Cologne 2024 event.

On Thursday, G2 opened with a 13-3 victory on Inferno, but MOUZ responded by claiming Vertigo 13-8 and Nuke 13-4. Israel’s Dorian “xertioN” Berman paced MOUZ with 48 kills and a plus-12 kill-death differential. Russia’s Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov produced 44 kills and a plus-9 K-D differential for G2.

Complexity downed Virtus.pro 13-9 on Ancient and 13-3 on Vertigo behind 38 kills and a plus-17 K-D differential from the United States’ Michael “Grim” Wince. Dzhami “Jame” Ali topped Virtus.pro’s all-Russian roster with 23 kills.
