CSGO: MIBR, Virtus.pro advance to semis at BetBoom Dacha

MIBR and Virtus.pro each recorded a victory on Thursday to punch their tickets to the semifinals of the Counter-Strike2 BetBoom Dacha event in Dubai.

MIBR posted a 2-1 win over Cloud9 in a Group A winners match, while Virtus.pro swept Team Spirit in Group B action.

Cloud 9 breezed to a 13-3 win on Anubis before MIBR responded with a 16-13 victory on Inferno and 13-6 triumph on Mirage.

Brazilian Breno “brnz4n” Poletto had 58 kills and a plus-16 kills-to-death differential for MIBR, who join Virtus.pro in playing their respective semifinal matches on Saturday.

Kazakhstan’s Abay “HObbit” Khassenbov contributed 53 kills and a plus-10 kills-to-death differential for Cloud9, who will face BetBoom in a decider match on Friday.

Virtus.pro notched a 16-13 win on Ancient and 13-10 victory on Overpass.

David “n0rb3r7” Danielyan had 45 kills and fellow Russian Petr “fame” Bolyshev had a plus-14 kills-to-death differential for Virtus.pro.

Danil “donk” Kryshkovets had 37 kills and fellow Russian Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov had a plus-7 kills-to-death differential for Team Spirit. Team Spirit will square off against FURIA Esports in a decider match on Friday.

FURIA swept Astralis after securing an 18-17 win on Mirage and 13-5 victory on Nuke.

Brazilian Yuri “yuurih” Santos had 48 kills and a plus-16 kills-to-death differential for FURIA.

Denmark’s Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard totaled 44 kills and a plus-8 kills-to-death differential for Astralis.

The winner of the $300,000 tournament will pocket $180,000, with the runner-up gaining $60,000. The playoffs will feature best-of-three matches in the semifinals and a best-of-five match in the grand final.
