Fnatic benched Jack “Jackinho” Strom Mattsson from their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster on Saturday.
The team said Owen “smooya” Butterfield of Movistar Riders will serve as a temporary substitute for this weekend’s Intel Extreme Masters Winter open qualifier.
Jackinho, 22, of Sweden, signed with Fnatic in January following previous stints with Prima Esport, Visomvet and nerdRage.
“We want to thank Jack for his plays and performance this year,” Fnatic posted Saturday on Twitter. “In the coming months, we’ll explore new options for our AWP role and build further towards the results we expect and want.”
